This &#8220;induced&#8221; stress infection was shed (large amounts of EEHV1A) with the protection of maternal antibodies. Resulting in the remaining 18 month infant elephant seroconversion to EEHV1B. An increased EEHV1B antibody level was still remaining after 18 months! As of today. Can a primary EEHV infection in an Asian elephant (E. maximus) be induced by (social) stress?.]<\/a><\/em> I started thinking about how poaching in the 80&#8217;s took out almost half of Africa&#8217;s elephants. Poaching still goes on today, with African Ivory going to ASIAN markets. Asian poaching still active, although it has slowed down greatly, the biggest stressor for Asians seems to be habitat loss. So this magnanomouse wild stressor, then aver since 1991, zoos goin to protected contact, BIG changes in the years to follow. <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\" style=\"font-size:clamp(3.116rem, 3.116rem + ((1vw - 0.2rem) * 3.334), 6.2rem);\">BIG STRESSORS&#8230;..<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Bringing on the Herpes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-bb3e2de6915a3312f9cf6aac5cf3e612\" style=\"color:#3c9ffd;padding-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--40);padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--40)\"><em>I can imagine what elephants feel and the communications passed on between each other when they sense and find this carnage, COLLAR AND ALL! ELEPHANTS should NOT be considered MEAT for consumption by people.  More likely a novelty fetish detrimental to wildlife that elephants MUST BE PROTECTED from! &#8230;.and how?<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Red Meat from a mammal whose biology includes a Cardiovascular system. Otherwise , white meat is the by-product of red meat.
